The Adventure Guides began with a passion for exploring and backpacking Utah's Escalante River Canyons. Now, in our second year of offering complete trip packages, we look forward to meeting people who share a desire to explore and experience these majestic places. Join us for a fun day hike through a narrow canyon or a multi-day backpacking trip for some solitude.
With permits to operate in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, we specialize in custom trips with small groups. We will guide you through the red rock deserts of southern Utah for the vacation of a lifetime. Our mission is to expose visitors to the magnificent non-technical canyons of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area through carefully planned and well-supported forays into the desert backcountry.
Located on Highway 12, Utah's famous Scenic Byway, Escalante is the premier location for desert hiking with easy access to the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. We are also within easy driving distance of Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park allowing a visit to Escalante to fit in nicely with a tour of the area.
With an emphasis on leave no trace techniques and visitor safety we strive for enjoyable and comfortable backcountry experiences. We provide the gear, food and planning, so join us for a fun-filled adventure of days spent hiking through pristine sandstone canyons, snapping photos of spectacular arches and natural bridges, and nights under the clear desert sky filled with stars.
